Praised at their recent Wigmore Hall concerts for their ‘rich, emphatic Russian sound, the deliberate and unambiguous phrasing and a compelling sense of drama’ (theartsdesk), the Borodin Quartet is now pleased to announce that they will be touring China in May 2017. The Quartet will continue their legacy of an affinity with Russian repertoire with performances of quartets by both Borodin and Shostakovich and will combine this with Beethoven’s masterful String Quartet No. 6 in B flat major Op. 18.
